Blog Posts: Step-by-step guide

Just getting started? Follow this step-by-step guide to start generating five-star blog content.



 Generate blog title

Don't worry if you haven't started your blog post yet. Hypotenuse AI is here to help!

Give our AI some context to generate blog title ideas:

  • Describe your topic: Input one sentence about your subject topic.
  • Primary keyword: Our AI will take the SEO keyword from the “Primary keyword” field to optimize your title, outline and article for SEO-friendly content. You can use single keywords like “drink” or longer-tail keywords such as “health benefits of water”. Add up to 3 keywords or phrases for each article, but we recommend that you stick to one primary keyword.
  • Tone: Set the mood of the blog post.

Once you're done, click   "Generate titles" to start generating some creative blog titles. 

Once generated, you can click on the title cards to edit them as you wish.

Advanced options: customize your copy

Under the advanced options, add some details about your target audience, product, or brand. This is optional but will help the AI write more targeted content. You can also select the point of view of your article.

  • Point of view: Address your readers from a certain perspective.
  • Describe your audience: Cater the blog post to your target audience.
  • Describe your brand: Promote your business or products in the blog post.
  • Describe your product or service: Feature a specific product or service in the blog post by briefly describing its features and benefits.

Other tips

Already have a title in mind? Click  "...or click to write your own title" and type it in.

Choose your favorite title and click "Next" to proceed to the next step.


 Generate a blog outline

Click "Generate outline" to come up with some engaging content ideas, which you can edit in the H2 section.

Select your favorite outline and click "Next" to proceed to the next step.


 [Optional] Add key points for each heading section for more control over the final article

i. Use the Content Detective tool to research factual content

For any heading that you want to research, click the 'Research' button, and our AI will extract top insights from across the internet on real time, up to date news. These key points will be used to guide the AI in what to write in the article. 

ii. Alternatively, add your own key points to guide the AI

You can optionally choose to give the AI guidance by writing additional key points for each H2 point. 

Write out each key point and click the  "+" symbol or enter to add the key point. 

Select your favorite outline and click "Next" to proceed to the next step.


 Generate an article

Click  "Generate article" to start generating. 

If you want to generate more paragraphs, select the H2 points that you want to generate again, and click  "Generate more"

With every generation, the new paragraphs will be added to the end of the article.


 Expand your content with Compose

Use the 'Compose' feature to add more detail to an already generated article.
Think of 'Compose' as a magic command that recognizes patterns that are already in your section.
Clicking 'Compose' will autocomplete text using AI, from where your text cursor is positioned in the editor. Our AI will detect what you've already written for that section, recognize the patterns of what you've written and add more detail to it.
Some possibilities:
  • Cue the AI on what the additional content should cover by writing a sentence starter for it. Typing "For example," followed by clicking the 'Write more' button will give you a paragraph that goes into an example.
  • You can also command our AI to write anything you like. Typing"Here's a list of actionable tips:" will give you a list of bullets of tips based on your written content.

 Edit, download and share

Use the built-in editor on the top bar to make edits and refine your article. You can also use the Plagiarism Checker to check your work for peace of mind.

After you're done with your blog post, share it by clicking the "Share" button at the top right of the editor. This will create a public page to share your article. 

Click the export button to download your article as a .docx file.

To start on your next Blog Post, click  "New article". Your blog post will be saved and can be viewed on the main "Blog Posts" page.
