What is the word-based subscription model?
As of July 21, 2023, we’ve retired our credit-based subscriptions and switched to a word-based subscription pricing model. This means that instead of receiving credits, you will receive a number of words each month which you can use for your generations.
The TL;DR:
- We’re moving from the existing credit system to a word count usage model.
- We’re retiring the Starter and Growth plans, and introducing a brand new set of plans.
- Our “Compose” feature in blogs is moving out of beta and will now be counted towards your monthly word usage.

What is the word-based subscription model?
The word-based subscription model is a new approach to pricing that we are implementing, which replaces the previous credit system. Under this model, instead of receiving credits, you will receive a specific number of words each month that you can use for your content generation.
For example, if you have a monthly subscription that provides you with 12,000 words, you can generate content up to a total of 12,000 words within that month. Whether you use those words for short product descriptions, social media captions, or longer articles is up to you.
Why the switch to a new subscription model?
By moving to a word-based subscription model, we hope to simplify our pricing structure and offer a more transparent and intuitive subscription model for our users. This is similar to how human copywriters charge based on word count, ensuring that you only pay for the actual words used instead of an abstract credit system.
Our new subscription model also offers greater flexibility in choosing the length of your generated content and the freedom to use allocated words in a way that best suits your content generation needs. Whether you prefer to generate lengthy blog posts or snappy social media captions, our word count system gives you the flexibility to use your allocated words as you see fit.
What are the changes?
This pricing update supports our move from the existing credit system to a word count usage model.
