Getting optimal SEO keyword suggestions for each product

When working on your PDP or product detail page, we should ensure it's optimized to rank on search engines like Google. This will help increase visibility among your target audience and in turn, improve sales.

Same for marketplaces like Amazon, Target, or Walmart—it's crucial to write your product descriptions in a way that will rank your products on the first page.

That means optimizing each product description for the focus keywords with good volume, decent keyword difficulty (KD), and intent that matches each product.

That's what our SEO Keyword Finder does for your product descriptions. (Only available on our upgraded ecommerce plans)

It helps you:

  1. Discover the focus keyword that best matches the intent of the product
  2. Suggests related keywords that'll give it an additional SEO boost

Before we get into how our SEO Keyword Finder works, here are some terms we'll be using and what they stand for:

  • The focus keyword is the search term your product is trying to rank for
  • Root keywords are usually the keywords of the product category
  • Long-tail keywords are keywords that have a lower search volume but also lower keyword difficulty (meaning they're easier to rank for)
  • Long-tail keywords work best for product detail pages since you'd have many products and if each one can rank high for a low-volume search, your overall search volume will still be high in general

Discover the focus keyword for your product

Our AI will suggest a focus keyword for each product based on your product information or the root keyword.

If you enter a root keyword, our AI will generate a long-tail keyword that includes the root keyword so you don't miss the ranking opportunity.

This suggested focus keyword is optimized for your selected search engine or marketplace. In this case, it's Google you're optimizing for.

To get started, enter these details:

  1. Product title
  2. Brand
  3. Either one of the following
    1. Product details
    2. Enrich from web
    3. Enrich from a specific URL

Find out more about enrichment from the web and a specific URL here.

Once that's done, click on ✨ Smart suggest.

Our AI will analyze your product and suggest a list of keywords with their KD% and search volume.

  • KD% is short for Keyword Difficulty and indicates how difficult it is to rank for the keyword. The higher the percentage, the more difficult it is.
  • The search volume tells you whether the keyword is worth targeting. A keyword with low volume likely has low demand and wouldn't make sense to target.

Select your focus keyword from this list. The idea is to look for one with a relatively low KD% and decent volume (above 100).

We calculate KD% by analyzing the top 10 pages that rank for that keyword. The more backlinks these pages have, the tougher it is to rank and the higher the KD%.

Get related keyword suggestions

Related keywords are keywords that are closely related to your focus keyword. It increases your chance to rank on more SERPs, where searches might be more specific.

We discover related keywords by analyzing top SERPs of your selected search engine or marketplace and identifying frequently-used keywords. This is an indicator of what helps them rank.

For related keyword suggestions, click on the magnifying glass attached to your focus keyword.

Note: This feature works only if you already have a focus keyword.

Our AI will research top SERPs and return related keyword suggestions—you can remove any of these or add more keywords.

Note: The keyword highlighted in purple is the focus keyword.

When you're done, simply hit Generate, and our AI will write a product description incorporating these keywords in the best way possible, without compromising on the readability and quality of the content.

These keywords will be highlighted in purple, as shown below.

With our SEO Keyword Finder, you can now generate high-quality product descriptions optimized for visibility on search engines.
